Quotes about Monsters that live inside us

Have you ever wondered about monsters? Have you seen one? Or, shall we say, have you recognized the demon that lives within us? I think you could have a lot of fun talking about scary things, but how about in real life. Monsters come in different forms, and it lives on people’s mind, heart, and soul.

When we were kids, we feared monsters because we believed that they were hideous and evil. We think that the monsters are huge, and they can devour someone. What we know is that they can kill us. We imagine that they hide in places like under our beds or inside our closets. We always hear different kinds of stories about monsters, that every time someone says the word “monster” we easily get terrified. And now, we are grownups, and have matured enough to discover that those monsters are not the kind of monsters we knew as a kid. They are different from those bedtime stories. They are not hiding under our beds or inside our closets. Now we know that they live within us.

I recently learned that the phrase “trick or treat” is short for “Give me a treat, or I will play a trick on you.” Does it ring a bell? That’s a threat. Now, it is a more frighteningly good metaphor if you try to expand your understanding more. “Give me short-term gratification, or I will make your life miserable!” Frightening right? If you try to picture it out, it is you versus the monster inside you. The demon that I am talking about is the kind of monsters that dwell in our hearts, mind, and soul. It is true, and at the same time horrifying. Imagine we are battling the demons living in us. We are fighting those monsters all this time.

Those monsters come in many manifestations. It could appear in the form of a bad habit or any self-destructive behavior. Frequently it comes across as fear, complacency, procrastination, and even depression. It brings negativity to our lives.

All I can think of right now is that don’t let it consume you, or else you will suffer. Have faith instead of living by fear. Further, here is the compilation of quotes related to the monsters within us.

Conclusion

The manifestation of monsters in our life brings suffering to our existence. We must act and do something about it before it ruins everything in our lives. We can start by fixing what is wrong with our emotions and by recognizing the monsters within us. Let’s make an action and respond by handling the situation very well. What we need to do right now is to remind ourselves not to be afraid of such monsters.

What we need to do first is to recognize the monster in us. It comes from negative forms in our lives like depression, fear, guilt, regrets, shame, insecurities, pride, and any destructive behaviors. As you can see, these typical negative forms or what we consider as monsters is the challenge that life has given to us. Without recognizing the demons that live in us, none of us would have a clue about how to fight or earn our way out of failure.

Next is to use that monster. Fear and failure are a self-destructive weapon, but we can turn it into a powerful tool for accomplishment and success. Once you recognize this, then you can manipulate the monster within you, not the other way around. If you feel heavy about how you fight and struggle in life, you are on the right track. When you sense nothing, you are in your comfort zone. Do something because if you do nothing, it means that you let your monster win the battle. Remember that this monster doesn’t want you to succeed. Not because it hates you, but because it hates changes in your life.

Finally, keep that monster under your control. Awareness and balance is the best way to keep the demons under control. Being aware is the realization of what you are doing and why. If you are angry, why? Your action corresponds to your answer, and if it is unclear, then your monster is in control than you think. Don’t let that happen. Have a goal in life. Keep your life in balance, and do not be afraid to take a step towards your goal.

It is not easy to face the monster living in us, but it is not impossible to make a change in our lives to be able to fight our fears. Have faith and believe that you can do it.
